Brizee sat there staring at her hands. Nick sat there looking at her.

      Briz, Nick said.

      You dont want me, Brizee said.

      Briz, of course I do, you are my wife, Nick said.

      No, Im not, I got a letter from my uncle yesterday, the annulment that I filed went through, we arent married, it went through yesterday so the wedding we had at the beach, that was annulled, we arent married, Brizee said.

      Why didnt you tell me, Nick said.

      I didnt want to lose you, Brizee said.

      I cant believe you didnt tell me, we could have worked it out, and I wouldnt have called Willa over, Nick said.

      So you saying that you making out with Willa is my fault? Brizee said.

      BRIZEE! Jane called. Brizee ran downstairs and saw Fran going out the door with Nicky.

      No! Brizee said running out. Two guys grabbed her and held onto her.

      Im sorry, Mrs. Carter, but the courts said to take him away, Fran said. Nick ran out and ran to the car and took Nicky from her.

      Over my dead body, Nick said.

      Mr. Carter, I have to, I dont want to, I have orders, Fran said. She reached for Nicky.

      He is my son! My blood, and I am not letting you take him away from me or Brizee! Nick said. He ran to his car with Nicky and got in and locked the doors. The two guys who held Brizee ran to the car. Nick strapped Nicky in his car seat and started the car and took off.

      Call the police, Fran said.

      No! Brizee said.

      Mrs. Carter, Fran said.

      Nick has every right to have Nicky, I dont care what the courts say, Nick is Nickys father, he has every right to have Nicky, you have no right taking him away, Im not an unfit mother, I love my son with everything in me, he is the most important thing in my life, and I will die before I let you have him, Brizee said.

      Get off my property, Bob said. Fran and the guys left.

      Mom, Brizee said. Jane hugged her.

      We are going to take you to Brians, and we will go settle this, okay, Jane said. They went to Brians house and told Brian the situation. Jane and Bob left and headed for the courthouse. Brizee stood there.

      Brizee, where is Nick, Brian said.

      He took off with Nicky, hes probably hiding, he isnt letting anyone take Nicky away, Brizee said.

      He is breaking the law, Brian said.

      Brian, dont you start, okay, Nick did what he had to do to keep Nicky, wouldnt you do the same, Brizee said. Brian looked at her and hugged her.

      Yes, I would, Brian said.

      I cant lose my son, Brian, I would rather die than lose my son, Brizee said. Brian hugged her.

      LA, we broke up, she wanted to live in LA, I wanted to live here, we decided not to do a long distance relationship, Brian said.

      Oh, Brizee said.

      My marriage to Nick was annulled, yesterday, I think Nick hates me for not telling him, Brizee said.

      No, he didnt get a chance to say anything else when that Fran woman showed up to take Nicky, Brizee said. Brian hugged Brizee from behind.

      You wont lose Nicky, Brizee, Jane and Bob will not stop, Brian said.

      I hope so, Brizee said. There was a knock at the door.  Brian opened the door and saw a man standing there.

      Brian Littrell? he asked.

      Yes, Brian said.

      This is for you, the guy said handing him an envelope. Brian closed the door and opened the envelope.

      What is it, Brizee said.

      Its a marriage license, Brian said.

      What does it say, Brizee said.

      It says that you and I are married, Brian said.

      What! Brizee said looking at it.
