Brizee went to bed and was about asleep when she heard someone knock on the front door. She got up and put her robe on and went out and opened the door and saw Nick standing there.

      Um, how did you find out where I lived? Brizee asked. Nick held up her wallet.

      You dropped this, Nick said handing it to her.

      Thanks, Brizee said taking it.

      Can we talk? Nick asked.

      I guess, Brizee said. She closed the door and they sat on the front step.

      Im sorry for what I said, asking you if you had anything to do with it, Nick said.

      I swear to you that I didnt, I wasnt expecting this at all, I was so shocked, I didnt know what to think, Brizee said.

      Well, we need to deal with this, I mean, we cant get out of this marriage, so why not make it work, Nick said.

      What, you want to make this marriage work? Brizee asked.

      Yes, Nick said.

      Im not sure about this, Brizee said.

      What do you mean? Nick asked.

      I mean, we hardly know each other, and we are married, Brizee said.

      I think we can make it work, Nick said.

      I dont want you to make a mistake, Brizee said.

      I know what Im doing, Brizee, Nick said.

      All right, what now, Brizee said.

      Go pack, the guys have already left for the next city and you see that Im here with my bus, Nick said pointing to it.  She looked and saw it. She looked at him.

      All right, Ill go pack and get dressed because Im in my night clothes and robe, I have to wake my parents and tell them Im leaving, Brizee said.

      Brizee, Laura said.

      Mom, Brizee said.

      This must be Nick, Laura said.

      Hi Mrs. Hardin, Nick said standing up and shaking her hand. Laura pulled him and hugged him.

      You are my son-in-law, call me Mom, Laura said.

      Okay, Nick said.

      Brizee, while you were out here, I packed for you, Laura said. Brizee went in and saw her bags.

      Mom, Brizee said.

      Honey, I had a feeling that when I saw the bus outside, that he came after you to take you with him and make the marriage work, a good guy would do that, Laura said.

      I guess Ill go change, Brizee said.

      Briz, you dont have to, you just have shorts and a t-shirt, here are your shoes, Im sure Nick has to get going so go, Laura said. Brizee got her things and hugged her mother. She hugged her dad and followed Nick out to the bus and got on. Nick took her bags and put them on the floor. Brizee sat down.

      Okay, no one can know we are married, we cant tell the press, Nick said.

      I wasnt planning on it, Brizee said.

      Well, Im tired, you can have the bed in the back, Ill sleep out here, Nick said.

      Are you sure? Brizee asked.
