Brizee sat there in the nursery holding Nicky. Brian left the room. Nick sat down beside Brizee.

      Does Brian know about us? Nick asked.

      Yeah, he wasnt happy, he thinks youll just hurt me again, he said I cant be with you while married to him, and since the marriage is stuck, I am still his wife, there is no way to change that, god, Nick, I dont know what to do, I love him, I love you, one of you is bound to get hurt, Brian thinks I should hurt you because you deserve it for hurting me, I dont know what to think, Brizee said. Nick looked at Nicky.

      Briz, I cant tell you who to choose, but I will always be a part of your life, this little guy right here, Nick said.

      And one on the way, possibly, Brizee said.

      What, Nick said.

      Im four weeks pregnant, Brizee said.

      Do you know who the father is? Nick asked.

      No, it could be you, it could be Brian, Brizee said.

      Briz, I love you, I hate to see you in the middle, Nick said.

      Okay, Nick said. He went downstairs and went out back and saw Brian sitting there.

      Hey, man, Nick said sitting down.

      Do you love her, Brian said.

      Yeah, I do, more than life itself, I dont want to lose her again, Nick said.

      You keep saying that and you keep hurting her, Brian said.

      I know, I dont mean to, I dont do it on purpose, Nick said.

      I know, man, its just that you two can never be happy, she gets happy with you, and then you hurt her, Brian said.

      I know, but now its different, Nick said.

      Shes my wife, Nick, shes married to me and we are stuck that way, Brian said.

      I know, I know, I just want to be with her so bad, Nick said.

They heard Brizee scream. They ran in as the front door closed. They heard a car speed off. Nick ran upstairs and saw Nicky in the playpen. Nick picked him up as Brian came in.

      Nicky okay? Brian said. Nick checked him.

      Yeah, did you see who took her? Nick asked.

      Gray car, license plate, 254-894, I better call the police, Brian said. He picked up the phone and called the police. Nick held Nicky close. Brian talked to Officer Smith. He hung up.

      They are putting every cop out on a full city search and wont rest until they find her, Brian said.

      Im going out to look for her, Nick said.

      Nick, no, stay here with Nicky, Brian said.

      She is the mother of my child and possibly another one on the way, Im not going sit here and do nothing, Nick said.

      Nick, no, stay here with Nicky, he needs you, Brian said.

      Why, because you want to be the hero in her eyes, Nick said.

      Nick, no, you have a son who needs you, Brian said.

      Yeah, well, my son needs his mother, Nick said. 

      Im going to look for my wife, Nick, you need to be with your son, I will bring her back, okay, once I find her, I will bring her straight here, Brian said. Nick looked at Nicky.

      Go, find her, for Nicky, Nick said. Brian nodded and left.
