Three hours went by. Nick was getting restless. He was pacing the waiting room. Dr. Kelly came out. Nick looked at her.

      Well? Nick asked.

      Shes awake, Dr. Kelly said. Nick ran down to Brizees room and went in and saw her.

      Brizee, Nick said.

      Nicky, Brizee said. He hugged her gently.

      I was so scared, Nick said.

      The baby? Brizee said. Nick shook his head. Brizee sat there and looked out the window.

      Im sorry, Nick said.

      I bet you are happy, Brizee said.

      Briz, Im not, Nick said.

      Yes, you are, you didnt want me to be pregnant with your brothers child, you insisted that I lie to everyone and say he is yours, Brizee said.

      Brizee, I wanted this baby because it was a part of you, Nick said. Brizee looked away.

      Just go, Brizee said. Nick looked at her and left the room. He went outside and looked up at the sky. He felt a hand on his shoulder and he saw Jane.

      Honey, whats wrong, Jane said.

      She thinks Im happy because she lost the baby, but Im not, I told her that and she didnt listen, Nick said.

      Honey, shes in pain, Jane said.

      Im her husband, Mom, and I love her, Nick said.

      Then dont give up, Jane said. Nick went up to Brizees room and he stopped at the doorway and saw something that made his heart dropped. Jane came up and saw Aaron and Brizee kissing. Jane put her hand on Nicks arm. Nick looked at her and walked out of the hospital. Jane stood there. She walked in and cleared her throat. Aaron jumped back and saw Jane.

      Mom, Aaron said.

      I cant believe you, I told you to stay away from her! Jane said looking at Aaron.

      Im sorry, I had to see her, Aaron said.

      Get out, Jane said. Aaron ran out. Jane looked at Brizee.

      I cant believe you, Nick saw you two, I say the marriage is over, Jane said.

      Jane, Im sorry, Brizee said softly.

      Stay away from my family, especially Nick, Jane said. She walked out the door. Brizee buried her face in her hands and cried softly. Brian came in. He sat down on the bed and hugged her. She looked up at him.

      You must hate me, too, Brizee said crying.

      No, I dont, I could never hate you, Brian said holding her close as she cried.

      I hate myself, Brizee said crying.

      Hey, dont say that, you still have me, Brian said.

      I dont have a choice, Im going home, to my mom and dad, I cant stay in Florida, Brizee said crying.

      No, you can stay with me, Brian said.

      Brian, Brizee said.

      I mean it, Briz, stay, you are my best friend, Brian said. She hugged him and nodded.
