Three months went by. Nick and the guys were in Kansas City. They were sitting backstage when a man came in.

      Nick Carter, he said.

      Yes, Nick said standing up.

      This is for you, he said handing Nick a yellow folder. He left. Nick opened it and pulled out some papers and read them.

      Nick, what is it, Brian said.

      Annulment papers, my marriage to Brizee has been annulled, as request of Brizee, Nick said.

      Nick, you know she didnt have anything to do with the marriage, Brian said.

      I have to be alone, Nick said. He went to his dressing room and closed the door. Brian looked at Kevin.

      Happy now, cuz, now you know Brizee had nothing to do with that marriage, if she did, she wouldnt have ended it, Brian said.

      I know, I know, Kevin said.

      Man, you cant protect Nick forever, hes a big boy, he can take care of himself, he has to learn on his own, AJ said.

      I know that now, I have a plan, Kevin said. He left the room.

An hour later, Brizee came in. Brian saw her and smiled.

      Hey! Brian said hugging her.

      I missed you, B, Brizee said.

      I missed you, too, how have you been, Brian said.

      Okay, I guess, Brizee said. Kevin came up to them.

      Thanks for coming, Brizee, Kevin said.

      Is this about the annulment papers? Brizee asked.

      Yes, that was a mistake, you shouldnt have done that, Kevin said. Brizee looked at him.

      Why the sudden change of heart? Brizee asked.

      I saw the look on Nicks face when he got the annulment papers, Brizee, do you love him? Kevin asked.

      Yes, I do, Brizee said.

      Brizee, Im sorry about everything, I just wanted to protect Nick and I didnt want him to get hurt, Kevin said.

      So what now, Brizee said.

      Go to him, Briz, Brian said.

      Make him happy, Kevin said.

      Never let him go, Howie said. Brizee walked down to Nicks dressing room. She opened the door and saw Nick lying on the couch with his arm over his eyes. Brizee went over to him.

      Hey, Brizee said. Nick moved his arm and saw her.

      Brizee, Nick said getting up. He kissed her hungrily.

      I heard you needed me, Brizee said.

      Who called you, Nick said.

      Kevin, Brizee said.

      Kevin? But he Nick said.

      Hes okay now, he knows I love you and I didnt have anything to do with the marriage, Nick, I just want to be with you, my life is nothing without you in it, Brizee said. Nick smiled.

      I say we start making plans, Nick said.

      Plans? Brizee asked.

      To get married, Nick said.

      You want to marry me? Brizee asked.

      I have always known that you are the one for me, Brizee said. Nick pulled her close and kissed her deeply.

      What about our families? Brizee asked.

      We could have a big family wedding after the tour, Nick said.

      Oh, Brizee said. Nick cupped her face in his hands.

      I want to be married to you, I want to be with you forever, I cant wait, Nick said kissing her lips softly. There was a knock at the door. Nick opened the door and saw Brian standing there.

      Um, Nick, that guy came back, he said those annulment papers arent real, he said Brizee did file for an annulment but the papers are fake, someone messed with them, Brian said.

      What, Nick said.

      How is that possible, I went to my uncle for it, Brizee said.

      Your uncle did the annulment papers, someone in his office messed with them, Brian said.

      So what are you saying, Nick said.

      You two are still married, Brian said.

      Okay, thanks, Nick said. He closed the door. Brizee turned and closed her eyes and thought about what happened. She felt Nicks arms wrap around her.
