Nick sat backstage talking
to the guys. A man came in with a folder.
“Nick Carter?” the guy asked.
“Yeah,” Nick said. He handed Nick the folder.
“This is for you,” the guy said. He left. Nick opened it and looked at the papers. His eyes widened.
“What the hell,” Nick said.
“Nick, what is it?” Brian asked.
“I’m married, to some girl in Miami,” Nick said.
“How?” Brian asked.
“I have no clue and it doesn’t say, it says that I can’t file for divorce or an annulment, I’m
stuck, who would do this,” Nick said.
“Maybe she did, maybe she’s so obsessed with you that she wanted to be with you forever,” AJ said.
“Maybe not, we have to go talk to her,” Brian said.
“Brian,” Nick said.
“Nick, you need answers,” Brian said.
Two days later, Brian, Kevin, and Nick went to Miami to the girl’s house.
They went up to the door and rang the doorbell. The door opened and a girl stood there.
“Oh god,” she said.
“Are you Hayley?” Nick asked.
“Yeah, come in,” Hayley said. They went in and she closed the door. She walked around them.
“Sorry about the mess, I haven’t had the chance to clean because I’m working all the time,”
Hayley said.
“What do you do?” Brian asked.
“I’m a receptionist at the hospital,” Hayley said. Nick saw a folder like the one he got.
“We are here because I got papers saying that we are married,” Nick said. Hayley looked at him and picked
up the folder.
“So did I, and I have no clue what is going on or how it happened, I’m not an obsessed fan,” Hayley
said.
“But you are a fan,” Nick said.
“You think I had something to do with this, don’t you,” Hayley said.
“Wouldn’t doubt it, fans do crazy things,” Nick said.
“Look, I didn’t have anything to do with this, I didn’t ask to be married to you, I didn’t
ask to be married at all, I have no idea how it happened and I don’t care if you believe me or not,” Hayley said.
The guys looked at each other. Nick looked at her.
“I didn’t say I didn’t, I just want answers,” Nick said.
“Well, so do I, because I had a hard day at work and I come home and find these papers saying that I’m
married to you,” Hayley said.
“I’m sorry that it’s been a bad day for you, but it’s been a bad day for me, if the press found
out about this, it would not be good,” Nick said.
“I’m not going to the press, I hate being in front of a whole bunch of people, and behind in front of a
camera, and having my picture taken,” Hayley said.
“We can’t end the marriage,” Nick said.
“I know that, I read it,” Hayley said.
“What should we do about this,” Nick said.
“I don’t know,”
