Chapter 15

Two months later, the guys hadn’t announced Kevin’s decision to leave the group. They were going to perform at the Pro Bowl Halftime Show. Hayley, Leighanne, and Kristin sat in the VIP booth and watched the game and then the halftime show started and they watched the guys perform. Hayley just sat there and watched Nick sing. She closed her eyes and her head started hurting and she held her head. Leighanne looked at Hayley.

        “Hayley,” Leighanne said.

        “My head hurts,” Hayley said.

        “Come on, let’s go back to the hotel,” Leighanne said.

        “No, I don’t want to,” Hayley said.

        “Hayley, you said your head hurts, being around loud speakers and everything will make it worse,” Leighanne said. Hayley closed her eyes.

        “Hayley,” Kristin said.

        “I’m fine, I’ll be fine,” Hayley said.

        “Are you sure?” Kristin asked.

        “Yes, where’s Nick, is it over?” Hayley asked.

        “Yeah, they should be back soon,” Leighanne said. Hayley got up and walked around and went over and got a drink at the fountain as the guys came back in. Nick looked around and saw Hayley at the drinking fountain.

        “Nick, Hayley had a headache, we were going to take her back to the hotel, but she insisted that she was fine,” Leighanne said. Nick went over to Hayley.

        “Hey,” Nick said. Hayley swung around and hugged Nick. He hugged her close.

        “You okay,” Nick said.

        “I’m great,” Hayley said. He looked at her.

        “Leighanne said you had a headache,” Nick said.

        “Oh I’m fine, it’s gone now, oh by the way, I’m back to normal,” Hayley said.

        “What,” Nick said.

        “My memory is back,” Hayley said. Nick grinned and hugged her tight.

        “Hey guys, she’s back!” Nick said. The guys cheered. Nick and Hayley sat down and they watched the rest of the game.
