Three months went by. Nick and the guys were in the studio getting ready to record a new album. They had announced that Kevin was leaving the group but was going to help them with the album. Kevin was working with the songwriters. Nick sat down and just started writing. Brian was talking with Howie when they looked up and saw Leighanne come in with Kristin and saw Hayley with them. Brian got up and came over to him.

        “Why did you bring her?” Brian asked.

        “She wants to talk to Nick, she should at least do that since they are still married,” Leighanne said.  Brian looked at Nick who was still writing. He had his back to them.

        “Whatever,” Brian said. Hayley walked slowly over to Nick and stood behind him.

        “Nick,” Hayley said. Nick’s back straightened. He continued writing.

        “What do you want,” Nick said.

        “We need to talk,” Hayley said.

        “I’m busy,” Nick said.

        “Nick, please, it’s important,” Hayley said.

        “Yeah, right, there is nothing to say, you walked out, you refused to believe the truth, you blew it, Hayley, I’m done, I’m through getting walked on, it’s time I enjoy life instead of living for someone else, I’m moving on, I suggest you do the same,” Nick said.

        “Nick, you are going to be a father,” Hayley said. Nick froze. He put his pencil down and turned and looked at her.

        “What did you say?” Nick asked.

        “I’m three months pregnant, Nick, with your child,” Hayley said.

        “Oh, is that why you decided to come back, because you’re pregnant, it’s nice that you would tell me, since I’m some big cheater, according to you,” Nick said.

        “Nick, please,” Hayley said.

        “No, you blew it with me, Hayley, you refused to believe me when I said I didn’t sleep with Mandy, you played her game, and she won, she caused you to leave me and I end up miserable, well, you proved when you walked out that door that you didn’t have faith in me, that you didn’t trust me, I’m done, I will be apart of our child’s life but you and I are no more, I’m not going to get my heart stomped on for the hundredth time,” Nick said. He turned and went back to writing. Hayley closed her eyes and turned and Leighanne and Kristin came over to her and helped her to a bench. Leighanne came over to Nick.

        “Leighanne, don’t even do it, I’m not going to get into with you over this, this is my choice, stay out of it,” Nick said glaring at her.

        “Nick, don’t do this to her, she needs you, you are acting completely heartless,” Leighanne said. Nick slammed the pencil down and stood up and faced Leighanne. Leighanne stepped back.

        “I’m completely heartless, Leighanne, why not say that to her since she walked out the door without looking back, she had my heart and she stomped on it so in a way, yeah, I’m heartless, don’t you dare tell me that I’m heartless and don’t you dare try to fix things that can’t be fixed, if you can’t stay out of this, then you are nothing to me,” Nick said walking out the door. Brian looked at his wife and went over to her.

        “Leigh,” Brian said.

        “I was just trying to help,” Leighanne said.

        “You can’t, Leigh, they have to work this out, you can’t fix this, they have to, I can’t believe you would think he’s heartless, you better get her and go, we’ll talk about this later, okay,” Brian said. Leighanne nodded and she walked Hayley out the door. Kristin went over and kissed Kevin and followed them.
