A week later, Nick, Brian, Howie, and AJ were at the studio to record a new album. They were going over lyrics and
writing some songs. They took a break but Nick remained at the table writing.
“Oh my god,” AJ said.
“Oh boy,” Brian said.
“Uh, Nick,” Howie said.
“What,” Nick said.
“Turn and look at the door,” Howie said. Nick looked at him and turned and looked and saw Hayley standing
there. He sat there looking at her. She walked over to him and stood beside him.
“Hayley,” Nick said.
“I have my memory back,” Hayley said. Nick smiled and got up and hugged her close.
“Thank god!” Nick said.
“I was scared you would hate me,” Hayley said.
“No, not anymore, I was upset that you would do that, but Hayley, you didn’t have to, you could have told
me the truth, I could have handled it,” Nick said.
“I know, I didn’t know what I was thinking at the time,” Hayley said.
“From now on, we are to be completely honest with each other, no more secrets or set-ups, okay,” Nick said.
“Okay, just as long as we are together, I’ll agree to anything,” Hayley said. Nick smiled and hugged
her. Brian, Howie, and AJ came up and they each hugged her. Leighanne came in and saw Hayley and hugged her. They went to
talk.
“So, are you doing okay?” Leighanne asked as the guys went back to work.
“As good as new, just happy to be normal again, and back with Nick, god, Leighanne, I thought I screwed up big
time,” Hayley said.
“You did, but it took you getting hit by a car and getting amnesia for everyone to stop hating what you did,”
Leighanne said.
“So that is what it takes to get everyone to stop hating me when I do something stupid,” Hayley said.
“For that time, yeah, but don’t get any ideas of it happening again, you scared all of us,” Leighanne
said.
“Was Nick happy about the baby?” Hayley asked.
“No, he wasn’t happy, about the baby not making it, that baby was a part of you, he would have been supportive
of you and the baby, you are his wife, you may have been having Kevin’s baby, but you are his wife, he would have loved
that baby if it had lived,” Leighanne said.
“I made a mistake, of trying to set Nick up with Mandy,” Hayley said.
“That’s in the past now, Hayley, he’s focused on his future with you, a fresh start for the both
of you,” Leighanne said. Hayley smiled.
“I can’t be without him again, I don’t want to lose him again,” Hayley said.
“He loves you too much to let you go,” Leighanne said. They continued talking while the guys worked.
