Chapter 13

Nick was sitting on his couch with everyone around him when the phone rang.
        “Hello,” Nick said.
“Mr. Carter, this is Detective Morrison with the Tampa PD, sir, we have found your wife, she’s being transported to Tampa Regional Hospital,” a man said.
“I’ll be right there,” Nick said. He hung up and looked at everyone.
“They found her, she’s going to the hospital,” Nick said. Everyone went out the door and went to the hospital. Nick went up to the nurses’ station and came back.
“The doctors’ are examining her, they will come out when they know something,” Nick said.
“Mr. Carter?” someone asked. He looked up and saw a guy in a white coat.
        “Yes,” Nick said.
“I’m Dr. Davis, I just finished examining your wife, she has a broken arm, and she has amnesia, she asked where she was and I told her and she said the last thing she remembered was being in Missouri with her family,” Dr. Davis said.
“So she doesn’t know me?” Nick asked.
“I’m afraid not,” Dr. Davis said.
        “Oh man,” Nick said.
“Follow me,” Dr. Davis said. They walked down the hall and walked into a room and Nick saw Hayley lying there in bed, looking out the window. She looked at them.
        “Dr. Davis, right?” Hayley asked.
“Yes, Hayley, this is Nick Carter, he is your husband,” Dr. Davis said.
        “I’m married?” Hayley asked.
“Yes, you are,” Dr. Davis said.
“So you are my husband?” Hayley asked looking at Nick. He nodded.
“Yeah,” Nick said. Hayley laid there and she looked out the window.
