Hayley sat there looking at Nick. Brian got up and headed out the door. Nick
came over and sat down and hugged Hayley close.
“I’m sorry for not understanding, I went for a walk and thought about everything and I realized that after
everything you’ve been through, you need time, you don’t have to tell me that you love me because I said it, you
say it when you want to, I said it when I wanted to, I do love you, Hayley, and I will wait forever for you to say it back,
I am not letting you go, never, I don’t want to lose you, I can’t be without you,” Nick said cupping her
face in his hands. She smiled and hugged him.
“I don’t want to lose you either, don’t ever let me go, I can’t bear it, and I will tell you
those three words when I am ready,” Hayley said. Nick kissed her softly. The kiss deepened and they laid on the bed
kissing. The phone rang. Nick groaned and picked it up.
“Hello,” Nick said.
“Nick, it’s Brian, you need to come to the hospital, some crazy person shot AJ, Howie and Kevin are here
with me,” Brian said.
“I’m on my way,” Nick said. He hung up and kissed Hayley and got up.
“What happened,” Hayley said.
“Some crazy person shot AJ, the other guys are at the hospital,” Nick said.
“Do you want me to come with you?” Hayley asked.
“If you want to,” Nick said. The doorbell rang. Hayley went downstairs and opened it and saw Leighanne
standing there. Hayley smiled.
“Hey Leighanne,” Hayley said as she came in. Hayley closed the door.
“Brian suggested I come stay here while the guys are at the hospital,” Leighanne said. Nick came downstairs.
“Hey Leighanne,” Nick said hugging her.
“Hey Nicky, if it’s okay, me and Hayley can stay here while you guys are at the hospital,” Leighanne
said.
“That’s fine,” Nick said. He hugged and kissed Hayley and left. Hayley sat down. Leighanne sat down.
“Have you told him yet?” Leighanne asked.
“What,” Hayley said.
“Have you said I love you to him yet?” Leighanne asked. Hayley shook her head.
“No, but he understands and said he’ll wait forever,” Hayley said.
“I just hope AJ is okay,” Leighanne said.
“Yeah, why would someone do such a thing, he didn’t do anything wrong,” Hayley said.
“I know,” Leighanne said.
