Nick sat there in his living room watching TV. It’s been three months since he left Hayley
at the hospital in the care of her parents. Laura called every week with an update of how Hayley was doing. Hayley still hasn’t
regained her memory of her life with him in Florida or anything that has to do with Florida. Brian and Leighanne came in and
saw him sitting there.
“Hey Frack, Howie and AJ and I were talking,
we were thinking of heading back to the studio next week to start recording a new album,” Brian said.
“Okay,” Nick said.
“You still miss Hayley, don’t you,”
Brian said.
“Yeah, I mean, I know she set it up and
sent Mandy after me so she could leave me because she was having Kevin’s baby, but the baby dying and her losing her
memory made the pain go away, the moment she regains her full memory and finds out about the baby, she’ll be in pain,
it won’t be payback for what she did, what she did doesn’t matter anymore,” Nick said.
Meanwhile…
Hayley sat there in her bedroom at her parents’ house. She looked around and went out and
saw her mother.
“Mom, how did I get back here?”
Hayley asked. Laura looked up at her.
“Hayley, what do you last remember?”
Laura asked.
“Crossing a street to a hotel, and something
hit me and everything went black,” Hayley said. Laura got up and hugged Hayley.
“You got your memory back,” Laura
said.
“What,” Hayley said.
“Hayley, you had amnesia, you only remembered
being in high school,” Laura said.
“Why am I back here with you guys,”
Hayley said.
“You didn’t know anyone but me
and your father so you came back with us,” Laura said. Hayley looked down.
“Oh god, what happened to my baby?”
Hayley asked.
“They had to remove the baby to save
your life, they tried everything to save the baby but they couldn’t, I’m sorry, sweetie,” Laura said.
“Where’s Nick?” Hayley asked.
“He’s back home in Florida, I’ve
been keeping him up to date,” Laura said.
“Does he hate me?” Hayley asked.
“No, sweetie, why would he hate you?”
Laura asked.
“Long story,” Hayley said. She
sat down and told her mother everything.
