Nick arrived at the hospital to take Hayley home when he walked into her room
and saw two people beside her bed. He heard Hayley crying.
“Excuse me?” Nick asked. They turned around and looked at him.
“Who are you?” the man asked.
“I should ask you the same question and why are you making her cry?” Nick said going over to the other
side of Hayley’s bed. She grabbed Nick’s hand.
“I’m Hayley’s father and this is Hayley’s mother, we are here to take our daughter home,”
the man said.
“Hayley,” Nick said.
“They aren’t my parents, they are Jesse’s parents,” Hayley said.
“Get out of here,” Nick said.
“She is lying, she doesn’t know who we really are,” the man said.
“She remembers being in high school, okay, she knows who her parents are, and you aren’t them, get out
now and don’t come near her again, your son almost killed her, he made everyone think she was dead, she wanted to get
away from him because he was obsessed, he wanted to kill her, he wanted to make sure no one would have her, your son is a
psycho, get out of here now before I have my bodyguards throw you out!” Nick said. They left. Nick sat down and kissed
Hayley’s hand.
“I won’t let anyone hurt you again,” Nick said.
“Take me home, please, I don’t want to be here anymore,” Hayley said crying. Dr. Davis came in.
“Can she go home now?” Nick asked.
“Yes, she can,” Dr. Davis said. Nick helped Hayley get up and she went to change.
“If anyone comes asking where she is, tell her you don’t know, she was released but that is all you need
to say, she just had two visitors she didn’t want, the guy who kidnapped her, his parents were here pretending to be
hers,” Nick said.
“I will not let anyone know where she is,” Dr. Davis said. Hayley came out and Nick took her home. She
walked in and saw everyone.
“Hayley, this is Brian, his wife, Leighanne, Kevin, his wife, Kristin, AJ, and Howie,” Nick said.
“The Backstreet Boys, wow,” Hayley said.
“Welcome home, Hayley,” Kevin said.
“Thanks, I guess, um, I’m a little tired, I didn’t sleep well in the hospital,” Hayley said.
“Bedroom’s this way,” Nick said helping her upstairs. He helped her to the bedroom and she looked
around.
“I guess this is our bedroom,” Hayley said.
“Yeah, but if it will make you comfortable, I’ll sleep in another bedroom,” Nick said. She looked
at him.
“No, it’s fine, just some getting used to, this is a first for me,” Hayley said.
“Get some rest, I’ll be downstairs with everyone, so if you need anything, just yell,” Nick said.
“Okay, thanks,” Hayley said. She laid down on the bed. Nick went downstairs. Brian came over to him.
“You okay?” Brian asked.
“I just want her back to normal,” Nick said.
“They will be,” Brian said.
“Jesse’s parents were there when I got there, they said they were Hayley’s parents, but Hayley said
they weren’t, I know she was telling the truth because the last thing she remembered was being with her family,”
Nick said.
“I hope that bastard rots in prison,” Kevin said.
“Guys,” Kristin said pointing to the TV.
“Jesse Davis has escaped from police custody, he was in jail for kidnapping and assault, he is armed and dangerous,”
the reporter said. Howie and AJ ran upstairs with Nick’s bodyguard. Officer Evans and Harris came in.
“We saw him come to the house,” Evans said.
Howie and AJ came downstairs. Nick’s bodyguard, Billy, was holding Jesse.
Evans and Harris grabbed him and put handcuffs on him and made sure he didn’t have weapons and took her out the door.
They heard commotion and gunshots. They looked out the window and saw Evans and Harris standing over Jesse. They went outside.
“He grabbed my gun and shot at us, Evans had to return fire, he’s dead,” Harris said. Nick and the
guys went back inside. Hayley came downstairs. Nick went over to her. She looked up at him.
“You okay?” Nick said.
“He almost got me again,” Hayley said.
“He’s gone now, for good, he’s dead, he tried to escape again and shot at the cops, they fired back,
he won’t hurt you anymore,” Nick said.
“Thank god,” Hayley said. She went back upstairs. Nick sat down with the guys.
