Three days later, Hayley
was reading a magazine when the front door opened and close. Nick came in and saw her.
“Hey,” Nick said. Hayley went over to him and hugged him.
“Hey, how’s AJ?” Hayley asked.
“He’s awake, the person who shot him was some girl he dumped, she’s in jail for attempted murder,”
Nick said.
“Thank god,” Hayley said hugging him.
“Yeah,” Nick said. Hayley held onto him tight.
“Are you okay?” Hayley asked.
“Yeah, just tired, didn’t get much sleep,” Nick said.
“Come on,” Hayley said pulling him up to their bedroom and she pulled him to the bed and he pulled her
back to him and kissed her deeply.
“I’ve missed you, just being away from you, it almost killed me, where’s Leighanne?” Nick asked.
“She went home yesterday,” Hayley said. Nick picked her up and laid her on the bed. He laid on top of her
and kissed her.
“Good,” Nick said kissing her neck.
“Nick, you need sleep,” Hayley said.
“I need you,” Nick said.
“Nick, you’ve been at the hospital for three days, you said you didn’t get much sleep, you need to
rest,” Hayley said. Nick groaned.
“But I want you, so bad,” Nick said.
“I know, but we have a lot of time for that, you need sleep now, we can have some fun tomorrow,” Hayley
said. Nick laid beside her and pulled her close. Nick fell asleep. Hayley laid there watching him and held onto him tight.
